Have you ever heard the phrase "bunny in the headlights"? It's when a bunny gets so scared by the headlights of a car while crossing the road that it literally freezes and stares at the car coming down the road rather than getting out of the way, because it doesn't know what to do. Well I felt like this on and off for about 10 years of my life, from my early 20s to my early 30s. I actually didn't know what to do, how to move, who to talk to, or what I was SUPPOSED to be doing. This was intensely unsettling for me because I was always a very good student, and knew what I WANTED to do for a career. I but all my straight 'A's and intelligence and creativity just felt completely overwhelming. Like I was meant to be doing everything, and didn't know how to do anything. Anyone else feeling me? I developed a lot of neuroses, and a lot of the times I let fear win out, and talked myself out of a lot of opportunities that may have helped me because I was so scared to even try. My fear undermined me, and sometimes I wonder where my confidence went. Let's talk about this! I can't be the only one. XOXO P
